charmaine是一位澳大利亚歌手。2009年11月，她与一群艺术家们一同参加了compassion international组织在智利立马的慈善活动，并得以缘见她一直资助却从未谋面的贫民窟小女孩maria。随后在博客中，charmaine记下了她此行的感触：“loves reality is above this culture， this complacent mind， our gadgets and temporary highs and lows. loves reality has woken me up from a deep slumber with restless dreams， to a morning filled with a light that has led me to chubby little hands that clutch mine， face to face with maria.”于是，2010年的专辑中便有了这首《love reality》，一道她对爱的领悟。

每当看到新闻报导有人做慈善、做公益，总会称赞几句其人有大爱之心。比较起来，历来一到各种国恨家仇的关键时刻，男女之爱则总会自动降级为小情小爱。charmaine帮助贫民窟小女孩唱出她的感想，taylor swift则在每每分手后用新歌吐槽前男友，唱尽她的体会。大爱小爱，孰大孰小，不同时期的自己会有不同的领悟吧。记得在《西游·降魔篇》中，陈玄奘最后悟到“有过痛苦，才知道众生真正的痛苦。有过执着，才能放下执着。众生之爱皆是爱，没有大小之分。”
