“使用自然资源需要付费，这不只是理论上的意义，国际上确实已经逐步付诸实践，并越来越成为社会发展的趋势和生态学研究的热点。”

 

在日前召开的中美生态系统服务研究国际会议暨中美生态系统服务研究中心成立大会上，该研究领域的倡导者和学术带头人、美国佛蒙特大学生态经济研究所所长robert costanza，在接受《科学时报》记者采访时作上述表示。

 

中国工程院院士李文华和costanza是这次会议的组织者，也是刚刚成立的中美生态系统服务研究中心的学术负责人。来自7个国家的40余位研究人员参加了在中国科学院地理科学与资源研究所召开的本次会议。

 

为生态付费成为社会发展方向

 

自远古时代，人们就在生产和生活实践中积累了对生态系统功能的朴素认识。20世纪初，一些国家已经有不少对生态系统功能及其经济价值评估的理论和实践。生态系统服务的科学概念在80年代初被提出，但直到1997年costanza研究小组在《自然》杂志发表研究成果之后，才真正引起全世界对生态系统服务的重视。costanza等人计算出全球的生态系统服务价值约为33万亿美元，是当年全球国民生产总值(gnp)的1.8倍，这在社会上引起巨大反响。
