摘要：北运河是北京市唯一一条常年有水而且水量极为丰沛的河道, 每年有大量的污水未能有效利用, 从北运河的水资源现状出发, 主要探讨了如何充分利用北运河的污水资源。

1999年以来, 北京已连续7年干旱, 北京两大地表水源, 密云水库、官厅水库蓄水急剧减少。水库蓄水入不敷出。目前密云水库蓄水10亿m3, 扣除死库容, 仅能满足1年城市供水。地下水位持续下降, 平原区地下水埋深已超过20m。南水北调北京段最早2007年底才能建成通水, 2006年和2007年, 是北京水资源最紧缺的2年, 北京作为我国的首都和全国政治、文化中心, 特殊的战略地位以及建设现代化国际大都市的目标和办好2008年奥运会等新形势, 对北京水资源保障提出了更高要求。目前, 全市年产污水13亿t, 其中城市8亿多t, 污水成为有待开发的新水源。如果把这些污水转化成可利用的水源, 相当于城市年用水量的60%以上。加快污水治理, 使污水再利用,是构建北京循环水务的一个关键。而北运河作为北京唯一的常年有水且水量丰沛的河道, 合理开发利用北运河
