苍南县巴曹渔港位于鳌江口南岸的巴曹镇，是国家二级渔港，也是温州市最大的渔业捕捞基地。巴曹镇拥有渔船800多艘，其中大马力外海钢质渔轮500多艘。每逢渔汛季节，近千余艘渔船云集于此，进行卸货、交易、补给等作业。为了解决巴曹渔港基础设施简陋，船多为患，拥挤不堪，推动巴曹渔业的快速发展。1992年2月至2004年10月巴曹镇政府陆续建成驳岸码头1105m。其中建于1992年8月的第Ⅰ段长132.5m，受潮汐、船只系缆力、挤靠力及上游水闸放水冲刷等综合影响，驳岸码头淘空，于2004年10月17日发生严重外移及沉降。居住在驳岸码头边的43户村民的房屋岌岌可危，随时面临倒塌的危险为了确保驳岸码头安全，2005年1月至2005年2月进行了除险加固处理，效果明显。
